Description
When an electric car eventually joined the family, its use changed. The former workhorse left the garage less and less often, and in recent years it has been driven very sparingly, an estimated total of less than 1,000 km over several years.
The car has thus enjoyed a quieter life, but there are a few things for the next owner to be aware of. There is noise from the rear axle and rust at the jacking points. These are also items that should be looked over by anyone wishing to give the car a new life. An older set of studded tires is included loose with the car, see photo.

Facts about the model
The car was equipped with a multi-link rear axle, which was later also introduced in the C and E-Class.
ABS brakes and seatbelt pretensioners meant that safety was good, despite the car being slightly smaller than the manufacturer's earlier models.
The car was well received but was considered expensive and cramped relative to its size.
Over time, however, it became an appreciated model and laid the foundation for Mercedes-Benz's volume series, the C-Class.
Production totaled 1,879,629 units. It cost 130,000 kr in base trim in 1987.
