Äldre helrenovering utförd 1991-1999. En tidig genomgång och service/renovering genomfördes redan i september 1961 av Daimler-Benz i Stuttgart. All korrespondens med Daimler -Benz inklusive arbetsorder och fakturor finns från den tiden. Klädsel och inredning i originalutförande. Dokumentation och bilder finns.

The engine was probably exchanged at the works Stuttgart visit in 1960, some sort of engine rebuild/exchange was done anyway. The engine of today need a good working temperature to give its best, but the more driving and usage, the better.

Tidy and clean interior, the car has been used very little since the rebuild in the 90's.

Exterior condition
Äldre omlackering med fin lyster i lacken. Några smårepor. Väldigt fint resultat efter poleringen, men lite ojämn lack på högerdörren och ett par tryckmärken på taket efter takräcke eller liknande.

General condition
Lagom fin för ett roligt finbilsbrukande och då inte bara åka till träffar. Lättkörd när motorn väl har nått arbetstemperatur. Alla gamla bilar mår bra av att motioneras regelbundet, denna har stått några år. Köp och kör.

Facts about the model
Modellen med internkod W136 var Mercedes första efterkrigskonstruktion och hade en lite lyxigare målgrupp, att jämföra med de dyrare C- och E-klassmodellerna idag. Senare utvecklades förstås modellen med bättre utrustning och det kom även en exklusiv cabrioletversion. Och dessutom, redan då, en trött dieselversion på 40 hästar. Återigen, historien upprepar sig hela tiden. Förutom att dieselmodellerna aldrig är trötta i dagens modellflora längre.
