Original none renovated Volvo 142 DL, with the same owner the past 44 years from 1976 to 2020. The owner was a professor from Borås who drove the car 130,000 km up until 1992, the car was then stored in a warm garage and there it has stood ever since. The whole car has untouched bodywork, paint; engine bay and interior are in an absolute great condition. Some small surface rust spot can be found in a couple of places. Well documented with all inspection records from 1974-1992. The car will need a proper full service and a new inspection, and this can be arranged by the owner before delivery if required.

Starts easily and drives with a smooth sounding engine and gearbox. Has stood still since 1992 so needs a full service and check the exhaust that’s blowing.

Interior condition
Absolutely top condition! Seat covers fitted from new has preserved those untouched seat. Unusual blue striped fabric that was only available as an option in 1974.

Exterior condition
Paint and chrome work are in super nice condition with good luster. The paint can be further improved with a good polish, there are a couple of small rust bubbles that can be easily be remedied to get the outside to absolutely 100%.

General condition
The car has a good overall impression and just needs some light cosmetic work, it’s seem like it just roll off the product line and is a really gem for a collector.

Facts about the model
1973 kom Volvo 140-serien med nya större baklampor, ny grill, nya stötfångare och ny inredning med bland annat en mer modern instrumentpanel. Samtidigt presenterades flera härliga sjuttiotalskulörer, till exempel gul, grön, mintgrön och orange. Modellen hade bara detta utseende under ett år, då den 1974 ersattes av de tjocka stötfångarna, och året efter kom 240-serien. Årsmodell 1973 anses därför av många vara den finaste/mest vackra 140-modellen. Det gör den till en riktigt trevlig samlarbil som har sitt eget uttryck för körglädje. Slitstark, säker och bekväm, även på långfärder.

Auction information
General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
