Description

One and the same user since 1979. Renovated in 2010-2013. Tuned engine and uppgraded chassi
Tuned B 20 with double weber 45s. The engine block drilled to 2.2 liters with forged Mahle pistons and Bofors rods. Oil cooler and S-cam with steel drive. Lightweight flywheel with small pulley. Sachs clutch. DC sports generator.
P1800 sports exhaust system. Ronwill intake manifold. Cylinder head from SPR engine with 47-37 valves with dual springs. The cylinder head has been leveled by 4.8 mm. Engine power estimated to 150-200 hp.

  • Mechanical condition

    The car has also undergone a major upgrade of the chassis to match the engine power. New JP Aluminum rims 6x14" with new Good-Year tires 185/65 14". Bilstein plus rally shock absorbers. Stiff front springs (racing) Original rear springs. Rear axle with lamellar diff and 4:30 gear (unusual)

  • Interior condition

    The leather upholstery on both front seats is heavily worn and needs to be replaced. All instruments work except the temperature gauge. There is an extra gauge that works and comes with the car.

  • Exterior condition

    The paintwork needs some proper polishing. The windows were not removed during the repainting. Cracks and red paint on the rubber band around the rear window. Bumps on some chrome moldings.

  • General condition

    The car runs well, is in good condition and good looking. Heavily tuned but still very drivable. Receipts can be found on parts from the renovation. Swedish MOT inspection protocols for several years.

Facts about the model

The P1800 was presented to the public at the Brussels car show as early as January 1960 and was built until 1972 as a coupe model. Then for another year and a half as a sports-hatchback model which was named P1800 ES.
In the first years the body parts were pressed in England where the cars also were assembled at Jensen Motors under license. In 1964 the production was moved to Gothenburg and the cars got an S added in the model designation (P1800S). In total, approx. 30,000 cars of P1800, P1800S, P1800E and P1800 ES were produced.

  • At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
  • During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
  • Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
  • When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
  • If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
  • If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
  • Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
  • For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
