Provenance can mean everything when it comes to old cars. Many want to drive around in the Chevrolet that was once owned privately by Per-Albin Hansson.
The car was registered on Per-Albin Hansson's wife Sigrid and was certainly a way of avoiding attention. Perhaps not so politically correct for a Social Democratic party leader to own an American luxury car at that time.
The Chevrolet Master Deluxe was manufactured between 1933 – 1942 and it belonged to the more expensive models in Chevrolet's range. It has undergone a careful renovation by Bengt Augustsson in Eskilstuna.
Per Albin Hansson was a highly esteemed leader of the Social Democrats during 1925-1946 and Prime minister for ten years 1936 – 1946.

Mechanical condition
The car start and drives, the engines and gearbox works fine. It will require that you make a full service as Its been standing in a musuem for the best part of 25+ years. Only remark is the pop out blinkers not working, and requires some of choke to start, otherwise fine and has a very nice engine room

The only note is the rear seat armrest is loose, otherwise perfect.

The Chevrolet Master and Master Deluxe are American passenger vehicles manufactured by Chevrolet between 1933 and 1942 to replace the 1933 Eagle. It was the more expensive model in the Chevrolet range at this time, with the Mercury and Standard providing a cheaper and smaller range between 1933 and 1937. From 1940 a more expensive version based on the Master Deluxe was launched called the Special Deluxe
