Description
The car has low mileage, only barely 100,000 km in 72 years. The car was owned by the same owner family from 1949 to 2002, and then purchased from Volvo dealer Liljas car in Kalmar. The car was garaged and unused for a while, its condition remain good but not great.
Therefore, the Volvo dealer decided to renovate the car into a top new condition in his own workshop, and used it to promote his garage and to attend car shows.
The car was used until 2017 when it was bought by the current car collector in Lagan. The car was degistered from the Swedish car register in the 1970´s when it stood used since the 1960´s. The car was registered again in 2004, after it extensive renovation. It’s one of Sweden's finest early PV so we think.
This car came from first production year of the PV models. The PV premiered viewing in 1944 at the Royal Tennis Hall in Stockholm and was a great success, which resulted in Volvo signing several thousand sales contracts before production started about 1.5 years after the end of the war, three years after first was first premiered.

Facts about the model
Volvo PV var Volvos första bil med självbärande kaross. Bilen premiårvisades redan 1944 i Kungliga Tennishallen i Stockholm och väckte stor succe vilket fick till följd att Volvo sålde flera tusen kontrakt innan produktionen kom igång cirka 1,5 år efter krigsslutet. PV:n blev en stor exportframgång till USA för Volvo, där bilen blev mycket populär. Bilen fick rykte om sig att vara väldigt stark och pålitlig vilket banade väg för Volvos kommande framgångar ända fram till idag på sin alltjämt viktigaste marknad.
