An oval Beetle in a nice and renovated condition in Cal-Look style. No Volkswagen trend has become bigger than the California Look. The trend was born in California in the 1970s and began when classic Volkswagen clubs like Der Kleiner Panzers started putting big engines in carefully modified Beetles with lowered front ends. The trend then evolved with shaved trim, full side windows, and pastel-colored paint jobs. This particular car had never been rust repaired when the previous owner acquired it. The car was in a well-preserved condition before the full restoration, which was carried out between 2014-2016 by the former owner. This has been done in such a way that the car can easily be changed back to a near-original condition. The oval has a couple of show wins under its belt, winning prizes at Bug Run 2015 and 2016. There have been some changes since then, and the VW has gradually changed towards its original configuration. The car is equipped with a 1600 cc engine equipped with dual Weber carburetors. Additionally, it has been modified with a 12-volt electrical system and adjustable front suspension.

The engine runs well but misfires slightly. The engine may need some adjustments and inspection. The gearbox, clutch, and brakes feel okay. Lighting, windows, and other peripherals work as they should. Semaphore signals work without any issues. The engine bay is clean and tidy. The original engine has been replaced with a 1600 cc one. The car is fitted with newer tires in good condition.

Interior is in a renovated and good condition. Well-stitched and upholstered interior. The headliner is in good condition, and a new original headliner comes with the car separately. Complete and nice floor mats.

Paintwork in good condition. The driver's door has a small dent, and there is tape over screw holes for the side mirror, see pictures. The chrome is shiny and in good condition.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
