Beschreibung
The current owner, a vehicle enthusiast who has worked professionally in the automotive repair industry throughout his career, acquired it soon afterwards. He then carried out a restoration over the course of a couple of years before registering it for road use in July 2024.
The body was relatively free from corrosion apart from the rear wheel arches, which were repaired with sound metal. It was then repainted in a shade very close to the original Gold Leaf Metallic. The chassis was overhauled with new upper control arms, steering joints and bushes.
The braking system was also extensively renewed, with a new brake servo, new front discs and calipers, new rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders, as well as new pipes and hoses throughout. A new fuel tank, exhaust system and rear Hi-Jackers were also fitted.
In the engine bay, a new clutch and flywheel were installed. Otherwise, the car retains its original engine, a 318 cu in, 5.2-litre V8, paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. There had been plans to install a 440 cu in engine, but only the decals were added. The rear axle is an 8¾-inch unit with a limited-slip differential.
The interior is original apart from the fabric sections of the seats and the carpets, which are new. It is fitted with new Chrome Styled Road Wheels in the original style.
The car was serviced approximately 2,000 kilometres ago, when the spark plugs, oil and filter were replaced. Some documentation from the United States and the import process is included, along with various receipts and inspection records. Two keys are included. The car is inspected, road legal and ready to drive.

Zustand technisch
It starts easily, and both the engine and drivetrain run well. Naturally, it has a manual gearbox for the proper driving experience. During a test drive on smaller country roads, the steering, clutch, gearbox, road holding and brakes all appeared to function well.
A responsive and imposing car that lives up to expectations. The underside has not been inspected, but the car was recently checked over by a professional, and everything visible appeared to be in good condition. No remarks were made at the roadworthiness inspection. -
Zustand Interieur
A pleasant original interior offering good comfort. This is a classic American car with a front bench seat and separate backrests. The seat cushions have been retrimmed in fabric that closely matches the original style and colour.
The door cards, interior panels, headlining and carpets are all in good condition. The aftermarket steering wheel, controls, dashboard and instruments also present well. There are two cracks on top of the dashboard that have been repaired to an acceptable standard. All electrical functions appear to work. -
Zustand Exterieur
Repainted a few years ago by Södermalms Billackering to a professional standard, with the finish still presenting well. Other details, including the chrome, glass, trim, badges and lighting components, are all in good condition. There is a scratch in the driver’s door window.
Naturally, the period-correct turn signal indicators mounted on the front wings are fully functional. The car is fitted with newer wheels and good tyres. The engine bay and luggage compartment are also in equally good condition. -

Fakten zum Modell
The company expanded in 1928 with the introduction of the new entry-level marque Plymouth, the mid-range DeSoto brand, and the acquisition of Dodge. This made the Mopar group the third-largest car manufacturer in the United States, behind Ford and GM. As in the rest of the automotive industry, there have been periods of both success and adversity. Some marques have been introduced, while others have disappeared. Today, Mopar is part of the Stellantis Group.
The Plymouth Satellite was produced in three generations between 1964 and 1974. The first generation was a top-of-the-range model in the mid-size class. These cars were primarily sold as Belvederes, while the most luxurious versions carried the Satellite name. The available body styles were a two-door hardtop and convertible.
In the second generation, the Satellite became a less powerful complement to the Road Runner during the muscle-car era, known as the Plymouth Sport Satellite. The range was also expanded to include four-door saloons and estate cars.
The third generation continued along the same lines and adopted styling similar to Chrysler’s larger C-body models. The many variations can be difficult to follow, but the range included two-door coupés and hardtops, four-door saloons and five-door estate cars. In addition to a 225 cu in six-cylinder engine, V8 engines ranging from 273 to 440 cu in were available, paired with either manual gearboxes or a three-speed automatic transmission.
One notable version was the Satellite Sebring coupé, produced from 1971 to 1973. It was a sporty variant named after the racing circuit in Florida, with sporting ambitions reflected in both its appearance and equipment, as well as a choice of different engines. The Plus version featured additional sound insulation and a more luxurious interior.
For the 1974 model year, the Satellite name disappeared from the range and was replaced by the Plymouth Fury.
Plymouth itself was discontinued as a marque in 2001.
