A Mercedes that has never been used in winter. During its first year, this beautiful car served as an executive vehicle for Märtha Philipsson in Stockholm. The current owner purchased it with only 5000 km on the odometer. Over the 48 years that the current owner has had the car, it has only been driven about 5000 kilometers each summer. Meticulously maintained and serviced by the same Mercedes mechanic for many years.

Technically, this car is in very good condition. The straight-six engine purrs like a Siamese cat, and the four-speed automatic transmission glides smoothly in typical Mercedes fashion. Both the air conditioning and electric sunroof provide excellent cooling. It doesn't get much better than this.

The leather upholstery in the cabin is well cared for and well-oiled. The wood panels shine, and all instrumentation functions perfectly. The headliner, carpets, and door panels are in excellent condition. Five stars.

The exterior of the car is also impeccable. There are some stone chips on the hood that have been carefully touched up, but otherwise, the paint is in very good condition.

One is impressed by the overall beautiful impression of this magnificent Sonderklasse. The color combination of the paint and interior is stunning. This vehicle is a delight to behold.

Fakten zum Modell
The W116 was the first Mercedes officially named the "S-Class." Featuring improved suspension, double wishbone front suspension for better handling, and new engines with Bosch fuel injection systems, the W116 model represented a new and fully developed car. For those desiring more rear-seat space, the SEL version with an extended wheelbase of 10 cm was available. Continuously focused on enhancing safety, the W116 was the first car equipped with an ABS system for active safety. With a production volume of 473,035 units, the W116 was yet another successful model for Mercedes-Benz.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
