This car was imported to Sweden in 1992. It was driven by a single owner in Montana until 1969 when it was taken off the road and stored. It remained there until 1992, when it was imported to Sweden. At that time, the original protective plastic was still on the interior, which is all original except for the carpet, parcel shelf, and dashboard.
Upon arrival in Sweden, the car was partially dismantled and repainted in sections. The front suspension and brakes were overhauled, as rubber components naturally age over 34 years.
The car has never had any rust repairs. It was deregistered between 1993 and 1999, during which time the engine underwent a full rebuild in 1999. It was again deregistered from 2004 to 2015.
From its arrival in Sweden in 1992 until the current owner purchased it in autumn 2015, the car averaged just 7 kilometers per year.
When originally purchased in 1958, the car was equipped with several options:
Hood ornament
Side mirrors on both front fenders
Antennas on the rear fenders
Running board trim strips
Three chrome strips on each side of the trunk lid
Large panoramic rear window

The car runs exceptionally well, and in addition to regular oil changes, the current owner has carried out the following work:
New carburetor
New starter motor
Electronic ignition system (breakerless)
Original radio converted to FM
Generator replaced with an alternator designed to look like the original DC generator; the newly rebuilt original DC generator and starter motor are still included. -
Zustand Interieur
Very nice original interior, with only the seat fabric showing cracks. The dashboard, parcel shelf, and carpet were replaced in 1992.

The car was repainted in its original color in 1992 and remains in excellent condition. The original chrome is in good shape, showing only minor signs of age. The rear window has been replaced, but the trim strips have not yet been installed—they are included in the trunk (see photos).

Vi har under tio år åkt på otaliga bilträffar och cruising utan problem, och har aldrig kokat trots timtals på cruising. Vi har också gjort flera roadtrips, den senaste för några år sedan då vi åkte ända upp till Norrland (bor i södra Skåne) utan problem förutom att det regnade varannan dag.
En varning bara, det går inte att smyga osett, det kommer alltid fram folk som vill prata eller bara uttrycka att de blir glada när de ser bilen.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
