Starts easily — ‘always started on the first try, except once in 1993,’ according to the owner. The notes, however, do not reveal what caused that hesitant start. The driving logs and the compiled mileage graph over the years provide an interesting picture of the car’s history and use. It has a stainless steel exhaust system and received a new timing belt at 150,000 km.

Zustand Interieur
Protective seat covers with untouched, well-preserved upholstery underneath. We removed the cover on the driver’s seat, and the passenger and rear seats are just as fine, along with the matching door panels, carpets, and headliner with its sunroof. The latter only tilts open at the rear or can be fully removed and placed in a designated compartment in the trunk. There too, an untouched, well-preserved feel remains, with an original spare wheel and a clean, tidy rubber mat.

Zustand Exterieur
Original paint with minor blemishes, marks, and small imperfections after 190,000 km. The owner added decorative red paint to the side moldings, front trim, and hubcaps, though on the sides it has already worn off and is likely easy to remove. The wheels have been painted black by the owner to avoid constantly cleaning the dense spokes from brake dust, and this paint too should be relatively easy to remove. Solid underbody, never any remarks.

For a new owner, a cleanup of the exterior could bring it close to original condition without the need for repainting. Well-kept, well-documented, and with just one actual user from new, this is a value-for-money coupé from the beginning of the brand’s journey upmarket.

Fakten zum Modell
The GT 5E version was equipped with Audi’s 2.2-liter five-cylinder fuel-injected engine, which gave it a distinctive character and a more exclusive feel compared with the standard four-cylinder models.
In terms of design, the Coupé GT shared the same streamlined body as the Quattro but without the flared wheel arches, and of course it lacked four-wheel drive. It was offered only with front-wheel drive, making it both lighter and less expensive. The interior was of high standard with sporty details, digital instruments (in some versions), and a modern feel for its time.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
