Included with the car is a good set of winter tyres on alloy rims (see photo), plus a complete set of original owner’s manuals and booklets in a BMW folder. The service booklet carries several stamps, and there are some past inspection reports and a few receipts. Two keys are supplied. It passed inspection with no remarks on 6 December 2024 and is ready to drive.

Zustand technisch
Starts easily, with the engine and drivetrain running smoothly and quietly. During a gentle test-drive the steering, road-holding, automatic gearbox and brakes all performed well. The car has not been inspected on a lift, but everything visible looked sound in the vital areas, and the vehicle inspection raised no comments.

Zustand Interieur
Nice and solid original interior with normal wear consistent with age and mileage. The seats and rear bench offer good comfort. Door panels and trim are in good condition, as are the headliner and carpets. Rubber floor mats are included. The wood trim is well preserved. Steering wheel, controls, dashboard, and gauges are all in good condition. All electrical functions appear to work. The AC blows cold, and the stereo with CD player is fully functional.

Zustand Exterieur
The paint appears to be original, with normal wear consistent with the car’s age and mileage. There is some early-stage rust/bubbling at the lower rear wheel arches near the bumper on both sides. Glass, trim, emblems, and lighting components are in good condition. The wheels are in nice shape and fitted with newer Continental tires. Both the engine bay and luggage compartment are in good condition. There is some damage to the insulation under the hood. The toolkit is not fully complete.

Just like that, the E39 model has now been around for 30 years, and the once-common sight on the streets has become increasingly rare. The model is now entering classic and collector status. Here is a fine and tasteful example of the desirable 525iA edition. In good condition, with some details left to attend to.

Fakten zum Modell
The model range included both petrol and diesel engines. Petrol versions featured inline sixes and V8s, ranging from the entry-level 520i with 150 hp to the high-performance M5 with 400 hp. The diesels included four- and six-cylinder variants, ranging from 136 hp to 193 hp. All versions had rear-wheel drive and were available with 5- or 6-speed manual gearboxes or 4-/5-speed automatic transmissions.
After the turn of the millennium, the E39 received a facelift that brought updated styling—such as new grilles and lighting elements—as well as increased engine output. Among the volume models, the 520i rose from 150 to 170 hp. The 523i was replaced by the 525i, with power increasing from 170 to 192 hp. The 528i became the 530i, with output rising from 193 to 231 hp.
A total of 1,488,038 E39s were produced, of which 266,209 were Touring models.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
