As the car hasn’t been used much in recent years, the owner has now had a start-up service done, including fresh oils and fluids as well as new ignition coils. The car is now fully roadworthy. It feels tight and drives quietly and smoothly throughout. The trunk lid has some wash marks, but otherwise, there are very few signs of use.
It will be tax-exempt in three years and is eligible for MHRF insurance at a cost of around 1,000 SEK per year. A Carfax report is available, but the service book is missing.

Zustand technisch
The engine runs quietly and smoothly, and the transmission shifts with the refined smoothness typical of Jaguar. All electrical functions in the car are working, including the air conditioning. The relatively new convertible top may occasionally need a slight nudge to operate satisfactorily. The car is fully equipped according to the 1998 specification. The Harman Kardon stereo system delivers great sound and comes with a CD changer. Two keys are included, but the remote for the spare key has uncertain functionality.

The leather upholstery is well-preserved and has recently been cleaned and treated. The panels, carpets, and trim are all in excellent condition.

The paintwork is in good condition, and the car has likely been fully or partially resprayed at some point during its lifetime. There are a few minor scratches and stone chips, but no visible door dings. The glass surfaces are in good shape, with only a few small wiper marks on the windshield. All light lenses are in good, usable condition.

The car leaves a very good overall impression. It is in better condition than average for its age and mileage. A future classic.

Fakten zum Modell
In 2003, both naturally aspirated and supercharged variants received updated 4.2-liter AJ34 engines. The first generation of the XK series shares its XJS-derived platform with the Aston Martin DB7. Both cars trace their roots back to an abandoned Jaguar development project from the mid-1980s known as the XJ41/XJ42, which had at one point been discussed as a possible “F-Type.”

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
