Fakten zum Modell
Generation 1 of the new 9-3 model, manufactured from 1998 to 2003, was primarily a facelift of the previous 900 model. It featured new bumper design, a new grille, and revised rear styling, partially following a similar concept to the larger 9-5 model. The chassis and crash safety were also updated. The body styles available were three- and five-door hatchbacks, as well as a popular convertible. Additionally, from the 1999 model year, Saab introduced a high-performance special edition called the Viggen.
For the 2000 model year, the Aero model was introduced, featuring a 2-liter turbocharged engine producing 205 horsepower and incorporating some design elements and aesthetics from the Viggen.
The 9-3 model was relatively popular in the mid-size car segment, offering both practicality and enjoyable driving dynamics with a classic Saab feel.
