This BMW began life as a showroom display vehicle at a dealership in Germany and was specified with an extensive list of optional equipment. It was imported to Sweden in 2001 and has had just three owners since.
The current owner, a dedicated BMW enthusiast, acquired the car in 2005 when it had covered approximately 25,000 km. Since then, it has been used sparingly, as there have been several other cars in the family fleet. During the early years of ownership, the car received regular DiTec paint protection treatments, something that is still evident today in its remarkably well-preserved condition.
Since 2018, the BMW has not been driven during the winter months and has covered only a few thousand kilometres each year in summer use, contributing to its exceptionally well-kept overall condition.

The 2000 BMW 528i belongs to the E39 generation of the BMW 5 Series, a model widely regarded as one of the finest and most well-balanced sports sedans ever produced by the marque. The E39 was manufactured between 1995 and 2003, with the 528i being one of the most popular six-cylinder variants in the range.
Model year 2000 represents the final version before the E39’s mid-cycle facelift. Later that year, BMW introduced the updated model for the 2001 model year, bringing a number of notable changes including revised headlights with the now-famous “angel eye” design, updated rear light clusters, refreshed interior details, and a revised engine lineup in which the 530i replaced the 528i in many markets.
Today, the pre-facelift 528i is appreciated for its smooth and dependable 2.8-litre inline-six engine, classic E39 styling, and the exceptional balance of comfort, quality, and driving dynamics that helped establish the model’s reputation as one of BMW’s all-time greats.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
