It was imported to Sweden in 2004 and has been driven infrequently by its present owner since 2013. In Sweden, the R129 was primarily offered with V8 and V12 engines, but it was also available with a straight six engine, which was more suitable for the model. A touch more thrifty, but with enough effect for a lively performance with the roof and windows down, as a convertible should be.

The engine has a pleasant sound and plenty of power, and the transmission shifts smoothly. The car features a firm road feel and well-balanced brakes.

Zustand Interieur
The leather interior has an unusual and fresh tobacco shade, which is good in and of itself, but the driver's seat needs a saddler's inspection; a few cracks in the seams and, more commonly on a car that has driven over 200 000 km, wear on the left side of the backrest.

Because of an insurance claim, the car received new paint and a new convertible top in 2013, the same year the current owner purchased it. With a few little stone chips and marks from usual enthusiast use, it's otherwise presentable and attractive.

Fakten zum Modell
R129 lanserades 1989 och baserades på en kortad bottenplatta från Mercedes-Benz W124 och hade för samtiden många innovativa detaljer som till exempel elektroniskt styrd dämpning (Adaptive Damping System ADS, tillval) och en dold, automatiskt utfällbar störtbåge vid en eventuell olycka. R129 anses vara den första personbilen med säkerhetsbälten integrerade i stolarna i motsats till en klassisk finfästning i golv, B-stolpe och kardantunnel. Modellen byggdes mellan 1989 och 2001.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
