A DKW Auto Union Special Coupé de Luxe with two doors and a high-top (HT) body style that has had only one owner. Purchased for the sum of 9,999 Swedish Crowns at Philipsons on March 10, 1964. Documents relating to the purchase, a certificate of registration, and brochures are included. After driving the car until the middle of the 1970s, it was stored in the garage after the purchase of a replacement car. The owner started a light restoration around 10 years ago, which included a new coat of paint, new upholstery on the seats, and the acquisition of a number of new components. However, preparations were made on the engine and the brakes then came to a stop. The opportunity to purchase a magnificent car from the decade that transitioned from the 1950s to the 1960s is now before you.

The engine is turning, and there are many new components. It is necessary to prepare the brakes, but in addition to that, an examination as well as work with the technical parts is required. The chassis and frame appear to have relatively little corrosion, and the work on the wheel suspension, etc., has been completed.

The interior is completely original except for the seats which have a newer tailor-made upholstery similar to the original. Nice rubber mats, new roll of carpets mat is included.

Repainted at some point in the past, yet it retains its lustre and is in good condition. Both the glass and the chrome are in good working order.

A nice garage find that seems to be totally complete. It will be a wonderful classic when it hits the roads again. Now it’s up to owner number two to complete this puzzle.

Fakten zum Modell
Auto Union 1000 var en bil i mellanklassen tillverkad av DKW (Auto Union) som ersatte modellen DKW 3=6 1958. Den tillverkades i Västtyskland fram till 1963 då den ersattes av DKW F102. Tillverkningen fortsatte dock i Brasilien och Argentina där man tillverkade modellversionen Auto Union 1000 S fram till 1967.
Tvåtaktsmotor med tre cylindrar ska det vara om det är mjuk motorgång du vill ha. Det är ingen slump att DKW döpte sin bil till 3=6 (tresex) där likhetstecknet gjorde klart att den lilla 900-kubikaren bjöd på samma raffinemang som en rak sexcylindrig motor. DKW är märket som Saab kopierade och sanningen är nog den att de tyska motorerna inte bara var större och starkare utan också bättre. Detta ihop med en vacker kaross med inbjudande interiör gör DKW-bilarna från 1950- och 60-talen till attraktiva köp.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
