Beschreibung
The car is equipped with, among other things, an automatic transmission, full-pressure turbo, air conditioning, and Volvo’s original alarm system. Despite the years and mileage, it has been preserved in remarkably fine original condition. The interior is exceptionally well kept considering the car’s nearly 280,000 km, with seats and trim details remaining in very good condition.
In recent years, the car has spent most of its time stored in a heated garage while off the road. Prior to the auction, it was brought back into use and passed inspection without remarks. As an added bonus, the car is now tax exempt, and an extra set of wheels fitted with older winter tires is included.
The stamped service book accompanies the car, with the latest recorded service carried out at 260,000 km, meaning it is now due for another service. Two sets of keys are included.
This is not just a Volvo 945 — it is a well-preserved piece of family history.
Teknische Daten
Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand
-
Zustand technisch
The engine and drivetrain perform well. The car’s various systems function as they should. Air conditioning is fitted, although its functionality is currently unknown.
-
Zustand Interieur
The interior as a whole presents very well. Naturally, there are signs of use consistent with 280,000 km of driving, but it certainly does not detract from the overall impression. The car has clearly been well cared for throughout the years — please refer to the photos.
-
Zustand Exterieur
The paintwork is in good condition. There are signs of use, but fewer than might be expected considering the car’s mileage and age. The front end has very few stone chips. There is a small paint touch-up on the lower rear corner of the right rear door — see photo. There are also a few minor rust spots elsewhere on the car, also shown in the photos. A plastic trim panel on the driver’s door has some damage — see photo.
-
Zustand gesamt
A Volvo classic in a condition that makes it enjoyable and usable without requiring extensive work. Fine, complete, and very presentable just as it is. Simply get in and enjoy the drive!

Fakten zum Modell
The combination of a four-cylinder engine and turbocharger even helped Volvo claim the World Touring Car Championship title in the mid-1980s with the 240 series — an extraordinary achievement at the time.
When the 900 series was introduced, Turbo versions were available from the very beginning. In fact, there were two different power outputs depending on the size of the turbocharger and boost pressure. The “full-pressure turbo” B230FT engine was used in Swedish traffic police patrol cars and became well known as a fast and dependable companion for emergency service personnel.
The standard output was 165 horsepower, although some owners opted for the Turbo Plus package, which added a further 25 hp. Perhaps the goal was to be quicker than the police cars themselves?
