This Mercedes was imported from Germany in 1983. Between 1986 and 1992, the car underwent a rolling restoration, including repairs to the floor and chassis beams. A sunroof was installed, and the car received a new rear fender, although the exact side is not mentioned in the history. The air intakes and fan were also refurbished, and the Mercedes was given a new paint job. It was originally delivered from the factory in white, but it is now painted in a gold metallic color. In 2016, the trunk lid and front fenders were repainted. The car also received a new front exhaust system at the same time. Between 2001 and 2019, the car had the same owner who initially used it as a summer car but eventually stored it away. The car was started, inspected, and serviced in 2019.

The engine runs well, but it wasn't driven on the road due to snowy weather during the photo session. The AC has uncertain functionality, and some parts of the exhaust system have been replaced.

The floor mat in the driver's area is damaged, as shown in the picture. The seat upholstery is in good condition for its age. The door panels and headliner are also in good condition. The instrument panel is clean and well-maintained.

Nice tires with good tread depth. There are some small rust bubbles around the headlights. The trim around the rear window is cracked and ill-fitting. Some shade difference can be seen between the front fenders and doors.

Fakten zum Modell
The Mercedes SLC model was introduced in 1971 and produced until 1981. This was Mercedes' modern luxury coupe with a longer chassis than the SL convertible version. Compared to the SL, the SLC had a small rear seat and was a 2+2 seater. Mercedes' sporty SLC was built in a relatively small series, with 60,000 units produced – compared to the SL, which had 260,000 units built. Today, the car model R107 and C107 are highly attractive collector's cars that are becoming rare. Many have lived hard lives as everyday cars thanks to their high quality. According to history, they were built to last more than 100,000 miles.
Internally, the car was referred to as "Der Panzerwagen" due to its robust construction. However, the downside was its high weight, and it now required a V8 engine to achieve the performance of its predecessor, the 280 SL. In March 1973, the USA-spec engine was introduced to the European market in the 450 SL. In March 1980, new V8 engines from the new S-Class were introduced, and in September 1985, the last update was made. The 107 series was retired in 1989 after a production cycle of 18 years.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
