The following owners used the car more sparingly, and by the next service in 1993 it had been driven only about 8,550 km more.
The current owner purchased the car in the summer of 1998 with an odometer reading of around 100,000 km and has since driven it a little over 50,000 km during nearly 28 years of ownership. Some oil changes have been carried out personally. The most recent approved inspection was completed on 1 August 2024.

Zustand technisch
For an owner of an air-cooled G-series model, the feel from the engine, chassis, and steering is instantly familiar. The G50 gearbox significantly improved driving comfort over its predecessor in terms of ease of use and simply better synchronization. The brakes bite is straight with a good feeling. Older Toyo tyres are fitted on original 15" Fuchs wheels — 6" wide at the front and 7" at the rear — which can be freshened up with classic vaseline, a method the factory actually recommended at the time.

Zustand Interieur
The interior shows normal wear consistent with its condition and mileage. The driver’s seat has a clearly visible wear mark at the entry point in a localized area. The much-appreciated original four-spoke steering wheel is in good condition, and a more modern radio is fitted with the original speakers in the doors and above the rear seat/luggage area. The speedometer works at the moment intermittently and sometimes stops. According to the owner this is due to a ground fault. It will need to be addressed before inspection. The right folding handle on the passenger seat is missing, and parts of the trim on the B-pillar are loose. The Targa roof has been reupholstered in the original style. A deeper interior detailing would further enhance the overall impression inside.

Zustand Exterieur
Presentable paintwork, though with signs of age; stone chips, a few small marks and scratches, and also traces of heavy polishing on the front lid. The right rear fender has been partially repainted following a parking incident when the car was struck by another vehicle. The right sill has slight bump from underneath and the front spoiler too. Otherwise, the paint is original according to the owner. Minor localized touch-ups and a deeper, careful polish would improve the exterior appearance, but at the same time the car retains an untouched charm that makes it very usable—without requiring the owner to be overly cautious.

With a few cosmetic improvements, the overall condition could be elevated a few notches, yet the car already offers a refreshingly user-friendly character for the model.

Fakten zum Modell
In the autumn of 1976, the Carrera model received a three-liter engine, and just a year later the entire 911 lineup was replaced by a single model, the 911 SC. During the remainder of the 1970s, Porsche focused its resources on its front-engine cars, while the 911 was left largely without further development. The intention had been to eventually replace the old rear-engined model, but customers thought differently and demand remained strong.
Following changes in the company’s leadership in the autumn of 1980, Porsche decided to listen to its customers and once again invest in the 911. The first result of this renewed commitment was shown at the International Motor Show in Geneva in 1982, when Porsche introduced a third body style—a fully open cabriolet.
In the autumn of 1983, engine capacity increased to 3.2 liters producing 231 hp, and the car was renamed 911 Carrera. The final development of the original 911 series was the open Speedster, produced during the first half of 1989. The car was inspired by the 356 model of the same name and, like its inspiration, featured an impractically low windscreen and a simple soft top.
With the production of the Speedster, the classic G-model era came to an end, and its successor, internally designated 964, had already begun production.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
