The car is quite unusual as the original owner, Mr. Eriksson, who was the chief engineer responsible for chassis construktion at Saab, deliberately chose a more understated specification without many luxury options.
As a result, it is not an Aero or the Jubilee A50 model, but instead features plush cloth upholstery in nice condition and a matte black dashboard panel, making it something of a “unicorn” among the final 1998 models.
It is also a low-mileage example with just over 140,000 km. The car has just passed a new inspection without remarks and comes with a fully stamped service book. It is ready to drive home for the next owner. Also included in the sale are two new front indicator lenses and two new Saab badges.

Zustand technisch
The car starts easily and the engine runs well. It drives nicely with good road holding and brakes, and the turbo engine still delivers plenty of power Mechanically, it has been well serviced throughout its life and was recently fitted with a new Direct Ignition Cassette. It has also just passed a new inspection without remarks. The air conditioning will require a service and proper gas refill.
The car is also fitted with a removable tow hitch and sits on good alloy wheels with tyres all round. There are two keys with the car, immobiliser has been disconnected. Saab newer replacement badges included. -
Zustand Interieur
Interior is very well kept and clean, with nice plush seats all around and no damage. Matching door cards, carpets, and headliner are all in good condition.
The dashboard is undamaged, and all instruments work properly with no pixelated displays. The electric windows and mirrors function as they should, and the radio is also in working order. -
Zustand Exterieur
The car is very presentable with no rust issues and a clean underbody. There is a small dent on the boot lid and two dents on the right-side doors, which should be easy to improve with a dent repair specialist. These door dents are not very noticeable (see pictures).
The paintwork is clean and tidy with a few minor stone chips and marks. The front wings have been replaced and are in good condition, and there are a few small scuffs on the edges of the bumpers. -
Zustand gesamt
This is an ideal youngtimer that still delivers everything you need and more, powered by the very reliable 2.3T engine. A great choice for any Saab enthusiast looking for a solid and dependable car with an excellent ownership history.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
