Zustand technisch
The car starts immediately, and the engine runs perfectly, delivering a wonderful V8 soundtrack from under the bonnet. Road handling feels tight and composed, the gearbox shifts smoothly and precisely, and the brakes are strong and responsive.
There are no unusual noises while driving and no warning lights present. The car was last inspected on 2026-03-02 with no remarks and received a 5-star rating.
The air conditioning runs ice cold, and all electrics are fully functional, including windows, mirrors, sunroof, and the rear window blind. The only noted defect is a crack in the left front fog light lens.
The boot space is very clean and complete, including the full toolkit and a detachable tow bar. -
Zustand Interieur
Interior is finished in black soft leather throughout and is in excellent condition, with no damage. The car is equipped with the M-Sport package, featuring an M steering wheel, M gear knob, and M door sill trims, complemented by elegant wood trim details and black headliner.
Overall, the interior presents exceptionally well and still feels like new. Everything functions exactly as it should, and there are no pixel issues in the displays. -
Zustand Exterieur
Bodywork is straight with well-aligned panels, even gaps, and clean shut lines. There are no signs of dents, damage, or rust, and the underbody is equally impressive—clean, solid, and free from corrosion.
The paintwork presents beautifully in a gleaming metallic silver finish, with no notable damage. On very close inspection, there are perhaps one or two tiny stone chips, but overall it remains in excellent condition. All plastic trims, including the bumpers, are intact and undamaged.
The car is fitted with the M aerodynamic body kit, including front and rear bumpers, side skirts, and a boot spoiler, giving it a sporty and purposeful appearance. It also sits on BMW M Parallel alloy wheels in top condition, fitted with good tyres. -

The BMW E39 540i has already reached true cult status and is now a highly sought-after youngtimer across all age groups. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find well-preserved examples like this for sale in Europe.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
