Zustand technisch
Starts easily and runs smoothly in both engine and drivetrain. Test driven at a gentle pace and everything seems to work well regarding steering, automatic transmission, wheel suspension, air suspension, and brakes. The stainless steel exhaust system produced a slightly rawer tone. Not checked on a lift, but what could be seen looked good and there were no comments from the vehicle inspection.
-
Zustand Interieur
Nice original interior with good chairs and back seat (Recaro) as well as nice door panels, panels, headliner, and carpets. Additional protective mats in textile and rubber. Also a protective mat in the luggage compartment, as well as a privacy cover and cargo net. Steering wheel, controls, instruments, and dashboard and other details in good condition. Some scratches/wear at the gear shifter. All electric functions appear to work well, AC cools, the sunroof functions well, as does the radio/sound system. Audi Bose system.
-
Zustand Exterieur
Smooth and fine paintwork with minor scratches and some scuffs; normal condition for age and mileage. Glass, rubber, plastic, emblems, and lighting details are at the same level. Nice rims and good tires. Winter tires are included. Engine and luggage compartments are in fine condition.
-
Zustand gesamt
A model that was just new but already has a quarter of a century behind it. As the lifestyle vehicle it is, with relatively low mileage, abundant equipment, and in fine condition, this is a future classic and enthusiast car.

Fakten zum Modell
In the decades that followed, Audi underwent an image and brand transformation and began competing with the two premium brands in Stuttgart and Munich. Audi's flagship model in the mid-1990s was the 100 model, which had been in production since 1967. In June 1994, it was renamed the Audi A6 C4. For the 1997 model year, an update came with the Audi A6 C5 model, which remained in production until model year 2004, when the successor, Audi A6 C6, made its debut.
The Audi A6 C5 model was produced in a variety of versions, ranging from economy versions with a 1.8 L engine producing 125 hp to prestige and sports cars with 4.2 L V8 engines producing up to 450 hp. In 2000, Audi introduced the A6 Allroad quattro, which was based on the five-door Avant model. It had a more rugged character with a stiffer and stronger chassis and underbody, skid plates, higher ground clearance, and an air suspension system. It also featured larger bumpers and other attributes that gave it an off-road image. Several manufacturers began building cars with similar themes around the turn of the millennium, targeting a 'premium car for everyday use and a rugged vehicle for country life on weekends.' Both Audi and other brands achieved great success with this concept. Audi's version of the Audi A6 C5 came with both diesel and petrol engines, with the top-of-the-line model featuring a 4.2 L V8.
