The car belonged to a technician at Volvo's factory in Olofström and has since been part of the collection at the Volvo Museum in Olofström. It has been used as an enthusiast car since it came to Sweden from the USA in 1993 and has continued to be well cared for. The car received a professional paint job in the original colour right after it arrived in Sweden and is still very nice. The interior, engine compartment and around the doors have original paint and show that the car is untouched. Carpets, upholstery, door panels, dashboard and headliner are in pristine original condition. The car was inspected for the last time on 12/18/2021. During the inspection, the trip meter's value of 3218 km was entered as the meter reading, the correct reading would have been 82,321 km, which is also evident if you read on the correct display. On import in 1993, the odometer was recalibrated to metric values, the gauge board was replaced and the gauge reading was transferred with correct input values.

Zustand technisch
The car is serviced regularly by the owner and has new tyres fitted. Easily started with a nice mechanical feel in the engine. The gearbox, clutch and overdrive work flawlessly and the brakes have a good bite.

The interior is in a surprisingly nice, untouched condition. Even the boot carpet is original and exceptionally nice. Just as nice under the carpets as on top.

Nice and beautiful paintwork in the original colour California White 42 and straight in the bodywork together with good chrome and details. Undercarriage and chassis details are free of rust, but some white paint dust from the 1994 paint job is visible underneath.

Good overall impression. The car has spent its first 20 years in a dry climate and has always been garaged when not in use. It has also generally been well cared for with care and awareness.

Fakten zum Modell
Volvo P1800 ES (sportkombimodellen) bedöms som en av Volvos mest unika och ovanligt vackra modeller. När ES:en kom 1972, gick det inte att sälja coupémodellen av P1800 längre. Alla ville ha ES:modellen, som då uppfattades som mer sportig och dessutom praktisk. Idag en ikon i bilhistorien. Inför 1974-års krocksäkerhetskrav i USA valde Volvo att lägga ner produktionen. Modellen byggdes därför bara 1972 till 1973.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
