Registered in Germany in April 2001, it was purchased by a Swedish owner. In June 2004, it was imported to Sweden. It is now on its third owner in Sweden. The first owner had it for about 10 years, the second owner had it for five years and mostly used it for trips to a property in Italy. The current owner has used it as a summer car, and it seems previous owners have also used the car. According to information, it has been stored in a garage during the darker seasons.
In recent years, various maintenance has been done, including a generator replacement in 2014, front suspension alignment in 2017, a new battery in 2019, and reupholstering of the driver's seat in 2020. Startade lätt och gick fint. Kändes solid och allt föreföll fungera väl. Ej kontrollerad på lyft men av det som kunde inspekteras såg det ok ut. Suffletten behövde lite manuell hjälp vid nedfällning, troligen en censor/relä som behöver bytas.

Started easily and ran smoothly. Felt solid and everything appeared to work well. Not inspected on a lift, but from what could be inspected, it looked okay. The convertible top needed some manual assistance when folding down, likely due to a sensor/relay that needs to be replaced.

Shiny and nice paint finish, with some minor scratches and a few stone chips on the hood. The convertible top is in good condition and reportedly watertight. Headlight glass slightly "sandblasted." The wheels are okay but show some signs of age. New Michelin tires in the front, older tires in the back.

A delightful open Mercedes in excellent condition and a classic color combination, which with some polishing and upgrades will shine even brighter. On its way to becoming a classic and the perfect time to make a move now.

The W208 CLK 230 with a Kompressor and 197 hp was produced from 2001 to 2003. It was slightly upgraded compared to earlier model years and achieved a 0-100 km/h acceleration in about 8 seconds, with a top speed of 235 km/h. The supercharger provided performance comparable to larger engines while maintaining favorable fuel consumption and economy.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
