Salén & Wicander presented this Rolls-Royce to landowner Hugo Hügoth at Lstad mansion outside Norrköping on February 9, 1968. The landowner, on the other hand, used the car seldom. It was occasionally used for special occasions and ceremonies, such as bringing then-governor Per Eckerberg to Christmas festivities every year.
The car was deregistered in 1973 after only 14,000 kilometers. It reappeared in the register a few years later, in 1976, with the number JOT773. It was then only utilized for a journey to France before being deregistered once more. Landowner Hügoth died in 1978, his estate was left to some nephews. It grew into a persistent feud that was not ended until the nephews themselves ran out of time. During this time, the Rolls-Royce was stashed in a garage in Djursholm.
It has now been reintroduced, freshly painted, serviced, and inspected.

The car has been inspected and serviced following the Sleeping Beauty slumber. Brakes and hydraulics were repaired with new hydraulic pipes, among other things. New tires, runs smoothly and pleasantly, and was recently inspected/MOT without issues.

When the paint chipped off in certain places, the car was repainted. Paint and chrome are both flawless. The coach line is missing.

Fakten zum Modell
Silver Shadow blev något av en vattendelare för Rolls-Royce. Traditionen bjöd att de förnämsta märkena såldes bara som chassin, som sedan kläddes av utomstående karossmakare. Men det var en dyr och komplicerad process och nu var detta anrika yrke på utdöende.
Efter sextio år av traditionen med erbjuda karosser på ram så chockerade Rolls-Royce etablissemanget 1965 med en ny modern bil med självbärande kaross.
Men tiden utvisade att man hade gjort rätt. På 15 år hade man byggt fler Silver Shadow än det hade gjorts Rolls-Roycebilar sedan starten 1904.
Den nya modellen fungerade så bra att det dröjde ända till 1977 innan den uppgraderades - Silver Shadow II. 1980 kom en ny generation Rolls-Royce och Bentley, men Shadow hängde på sätt och vis med ännu ett tag - i form av Corniche cabrioleten. Den byggdes ända fram till 1996.
