This beloved Volvo model, appreciated by the Swedish people, is a "Decenium 90" series car with the number 437 out of the first 500 cars produced in 1990. The current owner acquired the car in 2007 and is the fourth owner, now a retired magician. The car has served as a secondary vehicle and hasn't been driven much during the owner's tenure; it has mostly been parked in the garage between inspections. The car has been well-maintained over the years, as evidenced by the service history. There have been few repairs or fixes beyond what is documented in the service records. The engine starts smoothly, and the transmission operates well. This model is appreciated by the younger generation for its old-fashioned road manners. There are some minor damages such as dents and scratches on the car, but overall, it's in fairly good working condition and passed the inspection in July 2023. There aren't many of these models left in this condition, or they have double the mileage and have led a tougher life. The Volvo retains its original paint.

The engine runs well, and it shifts smoothly without any noises from the gearbox. The car received a new exhaust system after the catalytic converter a few years ago. The brakes engage evenly and smoothly.

The leather and plush upholstery, as well as the interior panels of the car, are in good condition. The pockets at the back of the front seats have stretched elastic and are slightly loose. The carpets and rubber mats appear to be in good and fine condition. The headliner looks complete and clean.

In 1990, the Volvo 740 underwent a facelift, displaying signs of what would come a few years later with the Volvo 850. This was done to introduce customers to a somewhat softer design compared to what they had been accustomed to for the past few years.
It could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 12 seconds and had a top speed of 175 km/h. The somewhat limited equipment included a five-speed gearbox, rear fog lights, height-adjustable driver's seat, tachometer, and heated front seats.
For this, the Volvo dealer requested a price of 139,900 SEK in 1990.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
