This particular Corniche has a fascinating Swedish history. Originally sold through Sears Imported Autos in Minnesota in 1985, it was purchased in the USA and imported to Sweden in 1990 by the current owner’s father, a well-known Rolls-Royce mechanic based in Dalsjöfors, just outside Borås. He kept and enjoyed the car until 2007, when it was sold to the owner of the Grand Hotel in Borås.
When the hotel was sold in 2008, the Corniche changed hands again and subsequently passed through three Rolls-Royce enthusiasts and companies in southern Sweden. In 2021, the story came full circle when the car was reunited with the current owner — the son of the man who originally imported it to Sweden more than 30 years earlier.
Both father and son have enjoyed the Corniche, and it has been maintained by Rolls-Royce specialist Tegbring in Borås.
Today the odometer shows 46,676 miles, equivalent to approximately 74,681 km. Looking back through the inspection history, the mileage was recorded at 29,381 miles in 2000, meaning the car has covered less than 20,000 miles over the past 26 years. Its overall condition also strongly suggests that it has been spared Swedish winter use.
During the past three years alone, the current owner has invested at least 170,000 + SEK in servicing, maintenance and repairs. This has also included the fitting of a new padded convertible roof complete with a new headliner and rear window.
Other Work and Information
Air Injection / Emissions System
The air-injection system is currently disconnected, with no belts fitted to the air pump. Disabling this system was not unusual on USA-specification cars, sometimes being done to reduce the load on the engine. A warning light remains illuminated for approximately one minute after starting.
Interior and Convertible Roof
A new convertible top has been fitted, complete with new padding, headliner and rear window.
Major Service & Mechanical Work
The car has undergone extensive servicing and maintenance, including replacement of oils throughout the drivetrain and hydraulic system, together with new oil and air filters, spark plugs, belts, hoses and wiper blades. The braking system has been inspected and extensively renewed, and a new battery has been fitted.
Tyres
A complete set of new tyres has been fitted, including a new tyre for the spare wheel.
Stereo and Equipment
A modern Alpine multimedia system has been installed with navigation, Apple CarPlay and provision for a rear-view camera. New speakers have also been fitted, together with a discreet hidden antenna while retaining the original antenna.

Zustand technisch
The car starts directly, with a smooth and stable-running engine. On the road, it feels stable and comfortable, with the automatic gearbox shifting smoothly through the gears and the brakes feeling solid. On start-up, the brake warning and emissions system lights illuminate for approximately one minute before going out. A slight blowing sound can also be heard; according to the owner, US-specification cars have a slightly different exhaust note compared with European versions.
The owner has kept the car stored in a warm garage and used it only lightly during the summer months. Inspected until 2028-06-30 and ready for the next owner to enjoy directly. -
Zustand Interieur
The red leather-trimmed interior is complemented by red piping, black carpets and dark burr walnut inlays across the dashboard, centre console and door cards, all presenting in a nice condition. Factory equipment includes electrically adjustable front seats, a power-operated roof, air conditioning, electric windows front and rear, twin central front armrests and a drinks compartment in the passenger-side door card. A modern Alpine touchscreen stereo with navigation has also been fitted, adding a useful contemporary touch. A full set of sheepskin floor mats is also included.

Zustand Exterieur
The bodywork is straight, with good-fitting panel gaps and no notable dents, damage or rust, complemented by a clean and tidy underbody. The car presents superbly, finished in a wonderful metallic grey with bright, gleaming paintwork. Only one or two very minor paint touch-ups can be found, which are hardly noticeable.
The chrome work throughout is bright and shiny, with no notable damage. The newly fitted convertible top really lifts the appearance of the car and gives it a particularly fresh look. It rides on a set of original Rolls-Royce 15-inch alloy wheels with RR centre caps, all in very nice condition and fitted with recently replaced tyres. -
Zustand gesamt
This is a superb-looking car that turns heads every time you drive it. It has been very well kept and maintained and is ready for its new owner to enjoy straight away.

Important to know before placing your bids!
