This Volvo 145 was purchased new in 1970 by Nils Bertil Göransson, Bergsundsgatan 5 in Stockholm. The original owner's plaque is still in place in the cabin. Reportedly, the car remained in the same family's ownership until 2009, and inspection reports from the 1990s show that it was then located in Rättvik. In those days, many people from the Siljan area commuted weekly to Stockholm for work.
After a few ownership changes in Rättvik, the car was purchased in 2011 by the current owner, who had recently obtained a driver's license and wanted a Volvo 145 as a first car. It was used as both a daily driver and a special-occasion car until 2015, after which it was put into storage in an unheated garage.
From 2023, the car has been brought back to life and several important jobs have been carried out, including replacement of the heater fan, clutch, brakes, shock absorbers, brake hoses, and ignition system. The car passed inspection in July 2026 with a few noted "good to know" remarks.
The body has rust damage and needs sheet metal attention, see the inspection report, but the car is largely unspoiled and retains its original character. Mechanically it runs well, and the classic B20 engine sounds as it should.

Fakten zum Modell
In March 1968, the Volvo 145 was introduced as the last model in the 140 series. Just like the 144 and 142, the station wagon was available either in base trim with the 85 hp B18 engine or as the sport version 145S with 115 hp. An automatic transmission was available as an option.
Apart from reinforced rear suspension, the wagon version was technically identical to its model siblings. Compared to its predecessor, the Amazon wagon, the tailgate was now a single piece with hinges mounted on the roof for an excellent opening angle. The early cars also had opening rear side windows.
Over time, more powerful engines and an increasing number of trim levels were introduced. Volvo's 140 series was produced until 1975, and by the time it was replaced by the 240, a total of 1.2 million 142s, 144s, and 145s had been built.

- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
