The car is sold for the owner's estate. The owner was a blacksmith and mechanic living outside Husqvarna and had a particularly great interest in classic English cars. The car is sold as the garage is needed for something else. Completely renovated during the years 2001-2004 with a very good end result. After this, the car has been used for vintage rallies and car meetings when the owner was active in northern Småland's sports and veteran car club.
The owner bought the car in the late 1990s. The car had then been parked for more than 20 years and fallen out of the car register. When he retired, he dismantled the car and blasted, repaired and epoxy-primed the body. Then he prepared the chassis and engine (the engine has been renovated). After this it had new paint, rust protection treatment and then assembly. 2004, at the end of July it was time for registration inspection and since then the car has been used. The meter reading is 33000 km and we assume that it will be 133,000 km as the meter has probably gone around one lap.
The car starts easily and feels good on the road. We can point out a few small blisters on the chrome and two small blisters in the paint on the vent door in front of the windshield, see picture, and one on the left rear wing, (these are barely visible). Very luxurious interior with wood panels and leather upholstery. You travel with dignity and elegance in this car.

Runs well on the road, some bearing noise from the drive line can be heard. A little high temp on the engine. Thermostat may need to be replaced.

Complete and nice original interior with new headliner, trim and carpets. Dashboard and door cards original. Front seat upholstered in grey leather. Beautiful fresh decor

Nice body and paint. The whole floor and the underbody look like new. Nice in every detail. Possibly we can point out that the front doors (or the trim on the doors are in need of some adjustment as the edges do not completely follow the car's line). Tiny paint blisters on the ventilation hatch in front of the window and a small blister on the left rear wing. Some dots on chrome bumpers and trim. Pictures from the renovation are included .

Fakten zum Modell
Modellen byggdes av BMC mellan 1952 till 1958. 4/44 står för 4 dörrar och 44 hästkrafter. BMC står för British Motor Corporation och skapades 1952 då Austin gick samman med Nuffield. Några mer kända modeller från företaget är Austin Healey 3000, MGA och några år senare BMC Mini-Cooper. Designer Gerard Palmer. Vikt 1290 kg. Endast sju kända kvar i Sverige och endast två i trafik, varav detta är den ena. Byggdes 12300 stycken totalt.

For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
