There are not many Spiders around in Sweden and most of them are standing unused, waiting to gain classical status. But in a way, the Spider was an instant classic from new.
This car has been exercising its skills on track, to car meetings and in pure pleasure driving in the countryside.
It comes two sets of wheels, one set with semi-slicks, and one set of street tyres, both on original alloy wheels. It was also upgraded with a performance camshaft and a performance air filter adding an extra 20 hp to the original 147 hp.

Med mittmotor, aluminiumchassi och mycket låg vikt gjorde Renault Spider sig snabbt känd som lekfull prestandabil. Generna från Alpine är rakt nedstigande och Renault Sport vässade lekfullt konceptet. Körupplevelsen hos Spider är just en lekfull och intensiv upplevelse. Med en tvåliters sugmotor hämtad från modellen Clio RS är Renault Spider prestandamässigt svårslagen av sina samtida och jämförbara klasskamrater, effektiviteten ligger på en helt annan nivå.
