The bus is owned by discerning collector in Småland, that’s owned the bus for several years. Previously the bus was part of a larger collection where it stood for many years on display. The mileage could be accurate, as we judge. However, we cannot substantiate this.
The bus is not renovated and has been very well kept, only normal, (smaller), traces of use in the interior. Nice body and paint work. The blue part of the bus was repainted 2016 in its original color and perfectly done. The upper white part is original paint.
The bus has had a few owners, low mileage and very well kept throughout, it’s a unique classic for a collector, even in an international prospect, so we think.

Fakten zum Modell
The VW bus first models were built in the 1950´s up until 1967 with the current appearance, so-called split bus (split window). VW- newer model was type 2 that superseded the T1 version. Autumn 1967 VW launched the type 2, nick named T2 which is similar but is longer front and has vaulted large windscreen (SK. Bay-window).
The T1 was further built in Brazil until 1976 and T2 up until 2014 in Mexico. In Germany they built from 1967 and 1981 respectively.
The VW bus was available in various designs, such as bus, panel van, pickup etc. For passengers there was also a luxury model which this is. They are recognized by 21 window configuration, nicer interior and other details like opening windows, chrome details, etc. Luxury bus is also known as Bulli, in Germany and Samba-bus in the United States and is incredibly soft after all over the world.
This particular one is especially interesting for VW enthusiasts and collectors because it’s not rust demands, or rebuilt. It is extremely rare to one like this.
