Facts about the model
The Series II was a significant evolution of the original Excalibur, featuring an all-new chassis, improved suspension, and Corvette-derived disc brakes. Most examples were powered by Chevrolet's robust 5.7-liter (350 cu in) V8, while later cars could also be equipped with the larger 7.4-liter (454 cu in) V8. With its powerful V8 engine, the Excalibur could accelerate from 0–100 km/h (0–62 mph) in around seven seconds, an impressive figure for its era.
Despite its striking presence, the Excalibur Series II was built in very limited numbers, making it a rare and highly desirable collector's car today. It was offered in both Roadster (two-seat) and Phaeton (four-seat convertible) body styles.
Today, the Excalibur Series II is regarded as one of the finest and most exclusive American neo-classic automobiles ever produced. Its timeless styling, handcrafted construction, and dependable Chevrolet mechanicals make it a unique blend of vintage elegance and 1970s engineering, ensuring its continued appeal among collectors and enthusiasts alike.
