Beschreibung
The car is being sold from an estate. The deceased owner purchased the car in the 1960s when the family was living in Västerås. In 1971, the family moved to the small village of Bjästa just outside Örnsköldsvik and drove the moving load with the Mercedes. The car was used until 1973-74 and was then put away in the garage. Consequently, it was never transferred to the newly established central vehicle register. The car still retains its old county registration plate with registration number U 44812. The car will therefore need to be re-registered in the vehicle register when it has been fully restored. The old registration certificate has been kept, and with the help of this plus purchase documents from the auction, the buyer can apply for an authenticity check with the Transport Agency and then have a registration inspection at the vehicle testing station. The car comes with what can be seen in the pictures. In some pictures the same parts can be seen several times, so one might think there are multiple examples of each part, but no spare parts are included. Only the parts that have been fitted to this car are included. We do not know if the ignition keys are still present.
IMPORTANT! Since the car is being sold from an estate where the co-owners are unable to assist in loading the car with the parts onto transport, this requires an active buyer who collects the car and personally loads everything onto a vehicle transport.
This is a distance auction. The pictures and information about the vehicle and its technical condition have been obtained from the estate's representative. BWA has not inspected the car on site at the seller's location.
Teknische Daten
Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand
-
Zustand technisch
Straight-four engine producing 52 hp with four-speed manual gearbox. The engine is of the side-valve type, and here you can see why it is called a cylinder head. Side-valve engines have no moving parts at the top, so it is truly a simple flat cover in these cases. The cylinder head has been removed and surface-ground due to a faulty head gasket. The car was running and fully operational when it was driven into the garage in 1974. The current condition of the drivetrain and other mechanical components is unknown.

Zustand Interieur
From what is visible in the photographs and according to the owners, the front and rear seats as well as the door panels are in relatively good condition. There is wear on the driver's seat, which is common. The dashboard and headliner also appear in reasonably good condition. We are unaware whether the floor mat has been retained. The visible sheet metal flooring appears to be in good condition.
-
Zustand Exterieur
Here you should try to study the images as much as possible. It appears that all body panels are in place. The radiator and radiator grille are included loose. The radiator appears newly restored. The sides of the engine hood are also visible in the images with loose parts. We cannot guarantee that every screw and nut is included. Study the images carefully to form an impression of the condition and included parts.

Zustand gesamt
An interesting project car that has been in the family since the 1960s. It appears, judging by the photographs, to be unusually intact and rust-free.
