The car has primarily been used during the summer months and for long-distance trips between Switzerland and the family's summer home in Östergötland. Toward the end of their time in Switzerland, it was fitted with studless winter tires.
When the current owner purchased the car, it required some repairs and servicing. It has since received a major service, along with replacement of the right rear strut and the water pump and thermostat.
The car appears to be in very well-preserved original condition. It comes with the owner's manuals, two keys, and a collection of inspection reports and other documentation. It has been inspected and is ready to drive.

Zustand technisch
The car starts easily, and both the engine and drivetrain perform well. On the test drive, it felt comfortable and stable. The steering, automatic transmission, handling, and brakes all worked as they should, making for a smooth and confidence-inspiring drive. All of the car's equipment appears to function properly, and the air conditioning blows cold, even in summer heat.
The car was not inspected on a lift, but the visible underside appears to be in good condition. -
Zustand Interieur
The interior is clean and well kept, finished in gray-blue with wood trim that gives the cabin an elegant feel. The seats are exceptionally comfortable. The door panels, trim, headliner, and carpet are all in very good condition, and the car is fitted with molded protective floor mats. The speaker grille on the driver's door has a small crack; please see the photo.

Zustand Exterieur
The paintwork has a deep shine and is in very good condition, with only minor signs of normal use. There are also a couple of small blemishes behind the passenger door; please see the photo. The black trim panels beside the rear window show some wear; please see the photos. Otherwise, the car is in very good condition for its age and mileage. The wheels and tires are in good condition, and both the engine bay and trunk are clean and well kept.

A solid and luxurious Mercedes-Benz that has been stored in a garage for several years and would benefit from some attention to a few details. This is undoubtedly a future classic with strong enthusiast appeal and excellent potential as a collectible.

Fakten zum Modell
Alongside it, Mercedes-Benz produced the more comfort-oriented 190 SL from 1955 to 1963. Both models were succeeded in 1963 by the W113 "Pagoda," available as the 230 SL, 250 SL, and 280 SL until 1971.
In 1971, Mercedes-Benz introduced the R107 350 SL, powered by a 3.5-liter V8 producing 200 hp. The model brought major advances in safety, engineering, and road manners, and remained in production until 1989.
Its successor, the R129, designed by Bruno Sacco, debuted in 1988 for the 1989 model year and was produced through 2002. It represented another significant leap forward in technology, safety, and comfort.
The next generation, the R230, was introduced in 2001 and became the first SL to feature a retractable hardtop. Designed by Bruno Sacco together with Steve Mattin, it built on many of the advanced technologies developed for the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and CL-Class. The range included models from the SL 350 and SL 500 to high-performance versions such as the SL 55 AMG and the SL 600, powered by a twin-turbocharged V12 producing up to 604 horsepower. Following a facelift in 2006, the R230 remained in production until 2011, with a total of 169,433 examples built.

- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
