The current owner purchased the bike in May 2013 and took it off the road in December of the same year. Since then, it has only been started occasionally. A folder containing documentation and historical records once accompanied the motorcycle, but according to the owner it disappeared during its last visit to a workshop, where the bike had been displayed for sale several years ago. As a result, any specifications beyond the standard factory configuration are currently unknown.
Locating the missing folder at the workshop may provide valuable information, and the new owner will be given details of where to continue that search.

During our documentation drive, the motorcycle was ridden only gently on a few city streets. Aside from needing a new battery, everything appeared to function as it should. A new battery will be fitted prior to delivery.
Before the motorcycle is returned to regular use, a comprehensive inspection and service are not merely recommended—they are essential. -
Zustand Exterieur
Finished in the quintessential Ducati red and adorned with period racing-inspired decals, this is the kind of Ducati that looks just as striking as a display piece as it does in active use on the road. The instrument cluster would benefit from a thorough exterior cleaning, and the paint on the brake fluid reservoir cap is beginning to peel.
At some point, a previous owner amusingly used portions of period road-tax receipts as markers on the instruments—a charming reminder of the bike’s history. The tyres are older but retain good tread depth. -
Zustand gesamt
A Ducati classic that presents as a well-preserved and highly appealing example. A motorcycle worthy of careful stewardship for the future—yet one that also deserves to be ridden. In fact, this particular machine seems to be longing for exactly that kind of use.

Fakten zum Modell
The 916 featured a chrome-molybdenum steel trellis frame, with the engine serving as a stressed member of the chassis. It also incorporated a single-sided swingarm and an underseat exhaust system—design solutions heavily inspired by contemporary racing motorcycles. These features not only enhanced performance but also contributed to the model’s instantly recognisable and highly influential appearance.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
