Starts easily and runs smoothly, and the chassis, brakes, and steering feel normal. The service and owner’s manuals are missing, but service history from 2013–2023 is available in the form of receipts. During that period, it was regularly serviced, and since the most recent service in 2023, the car has covered 3,900 km. The service history prior to 2013 cannot be verified, but has most likely been maintained according to schedule and guidelines.

Zustand Interieur
Interior in line with the mileage. Typical wear on the left side of the driver’s seat from entry and exit. Otherwise, the A/C blows cold, the radio works well, and the roof opens and closes without any issues.

Zustand Exterieur
Normal wear to the original paint consistent with the mileage, including stone chips and marks. A couple of emblems are missing—among them some indicating the supercharged version—and on the trunk lid it only says “SL” instead of “SLK.” This could be a sign of the owner’s sense of humor, or perhaps someone wanted the car to seem a bit more than it is. “SL” is, after all, typically reserved for the larger and more powerful Mercedes sports cars. The original wheels have some curb rash and are fitted with Hankook Ventus tires from 2022 with good tread.

Fakten zum Modell
The most striking design detail was the pointed front end, often referred to as the “F1 nose” among Mercedes enthusiasts, a deliberate nod to the Mercedes SLR McLaren supercar. The R171 retained the popular retractable hardtop, but with an improved mechanism in which the rear window rotated during operation to take up less space in the trunk.
Another new feature was Airscarf—a warm air outlet integrated into the headrests, making top-down driving more comfortable even in cooler weather. The model received a facelift in 2008 with minor cosmetic updates and optimized engines for improved fuel efficiency.
The SLK 200 Kompressor was the entry-level model, featuring a supercharged 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine producing 163 hp (later 184 hp), as in the auction car. The V6 lineup included the SLK 280 (later SLK 300) and the SLK 350, with the latter delivering 305 hp after the 2008 update. At the top of the range was the raw SLK 55 AMG, equipped with a 5.4-liter V8 producing 360 hp, offering strong performance for its size.
The model was replaced in spring 2011 by the third-generation SLK, the R172.

General information about the condition of the vehicles .
- At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
- For items that have not been collected within 14 days storage costs may be charged.
