Beschreibung
The car is fairly well built and has a fantastic attitude, although time has left its mark. Unfortunately, the brake pedal currently goes to the floor, the engine produces blue smoke, and the rev counter is not functioning. Even so, all the charm remains. It has that special feeling of a project with soul and history, ready for someone who wants to breathe new life into it and get it back on the road again.
Perfect as an eye-catching promotional vehicle for a business or simply as a fun car for someone who enjoys standing out. The car is inspected and road approved, although the trailer must undergo inspection before it can legally be used on public roads. Supplied with two sets of keys.

Beurteilung Fahrzeugzustand
-
Zustand technisch
The engine starts easily but runs rich and also produces a noticeable amount of blue smoke. The brake pedal goes to the floor with no braking effect, and the handbrake is not functioning. The rev counter is inoperative. The steering wheel is cracked at the top and should be replaced.
-
Zustand Interieur
Customised and colour-matched interior in used condition. Overall condition is decent, with the expected signs of wear and use throughout — please refer to the photos for details.
-
Zustand Exterieur
The paintwork is in used condition with minor blemishes and scratches. There are signs of age and wear, but overall it remains presentable. The soft top is too tight, and the front mounting rail has broken (see photo), meaning the car is currently best enjoyed with the roof folded down until this is repaired. Side windows and their frames are included — see photos.
-
Zustand gesamt
A fun and attention-grabbing “Mini” in a condition that calls for some care and improvement. For the handy enthusiast, however, these are relatively minor and manageable issues to address.

Fakten zum Modell
The first Mini, or “hundkoja” in Swedish terminology, was introduced in 1959. It was revolutionary thanks to its clever, space-saving design created by Alec Issigonis. His vision was to build a simple, affordable car with excellent handling characteristics — and that is exactly what he achieved.
One person who truly appreciated the car was John Cooper, who at the time ran a top-level Formula racing team. Cooper already used BMC engines in his race cars and understood their potential. An idea was born. John Cooper approached Alec Issigonis with the concept of fitting a more powerful engine to the Mini, but Issigonis was initially completely uninterested. He saw the Mini as a practical people’s car, not as the competition machine Cooper envisioned.
Eventually, in 1961, John Cooper got his way. An enlarged 997 cc version of the original 850 cc engine was developed, producing 57 hp instead of the standard car’s 37 hp. The Mini Cooper was born. It featured unique interior trim, front disc brakes, and often a contrasting roof colour.
An even more performance-oriented version arrived in 1963 in a limited production run — the Cooper S 1071 cc — which also received larger and more powerful disc brakes.
A great deal happened in 1964. Three new engine variants were introduced: the Cooper S 1275 cc and 970 cc, along with a more civilized 998 cc engine for the standard Cooper intended primarily for road use. The reason for developing so many different engine sizes was the class structure used in motorsport at the time, where racing categories were divided by engine displacement. There were classes for cars up to 850 cc, 1000 cc, 1150 cc, and 1300 cc — meaning there was effectively a Mini built for every class.
