It was delivered to its first owner in January 2006 by the dealer Wendels in Malmö, but was not registered for road use in Sweden until June of the same year. And that feels like a better month for the car's first drive, even though it doesn't appear that the owner drove the car very much. The first inspection after the registration and control inspection in December 2005 was not carried out until 2009, by which time it had covered 2,580 km. He owned the car for over 17 years and still only accumulated 7,000 km before selling it to the Morgan dealer British Auto in Lerum in 2023. The current owner purchased the car in 2024 and has driven less than 1,000 km since then. The most recent passed inspection was carried out on 2025-06-30 at 8,020 km, and the car has covered around 9 km since then.

Fakten zum Modell
The Aero 8 was presented at the Geneva Motor Show in 2000 and represented a minor revolution for the conservative British marque. It was the company's first completely new design since 1964 and broke dramatically with tradition by abandoning the classic steel chassis in favor of a modern, bonded and riveted all-aluminum chassis. Despite the radical technical shift beneath the skin, the marque's craftsmanship tradition was retained, as the body's outer aluminum panels were still formed over a handbuilt ash wood frame. The first generation (Series 1) had BMW's 4.4-liter V8 producing 286 hp, which combined with a low curb weight of around 1,100 kg delivered strong performance, with 0–100 km/h in under five seconds. The styling, penned by the young designer Matthew Humphries, immediately became a subject of debate. The early cars' headlights, borrowed from the Volkswagen New Beetle, were angled inward to improve aerodynamics, giving rise to the famous, though sometimes criticized, cross-eyed appearance. Over the years that followed, the Aero 8 underwent continuous evolution. For Series 2 and Series 3 (introduced in 2006), the front-end design was corrected with headlights from the Mini Cooper, giving a more harmonious and aggressive look, while the track was widened. In 2008, the drivetrain was upgraded to BMW's 4.8-liter V8 with 367 hp, and for the first time an automatic gearbox was also offered as an alternative to the six-speed manual. The model family also spawned exclusive and futuristic offshoots such as the AeroMax coupe (built in 100 examples) and the targa version Aero SuperSports. After a brief production hiatus, the Aero 8 returned for a final generation (Series 5) in 2015, with a completely new rear end and a more luxurious interior, before production ended in 2018.

Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
