A proud brass plaque announces that the car's first owners were Juanita and John Edwards of California. They purchased it in July 1989. The current owner imported the car from the USA and registered it in Sweden in April 2019. The most recent passed inspection was carried out on 2019-04-29. The car is therefore currently banned from road use, but it can be driven from the premises with green temporary plates, or with the registration reactivated, insurance in place, and an inspection appointment booked.

Zustand technisch
Technically, the car feels good, with the somewhat numb and feather-light power steering typical of the classic American recipe. The brakes, gearbox, and chassis also feel good, but the car needs to be inspected.

Ambitious and inviting interior with the usual wear. There are many specialists today that can restore leather upholstery to a craftsman standard, and this one has good potential.
Slightly discolored carpets that can surely be cleaned thoroughly. -

Presentable and attractive exterior with normal wear for the mileage. Soft top and hardtop in fine condition. Both are folded and locked firmly and manually with a kind of large lug wrench (see picture). Nothing electrical that can cause trouble, in other words. Older American tires, Kelly Charger, with good tread.

Fakten zum Modell
The Chrysler TC by Maserati was a two-seat convertible with luxury ambitions, developed in a unique and troubled collaboration between America's Chrysler and Italy's Maserati. The idea was born in 1984 through a close friendship between Chrysler's legendary boss Lee Iacocca and Maserati's then-owner Alejandro de Tomaso. The purpose was to give Chrysler a halo car – a prestige model that would elevate the entire brand's image by combining American engineering with Italian craftsmanship and luxury. The car was shown in concept form as early as the 1986 Los Angeles Auto Show, but suffered extensive development delays in production. By the time manufacturing finally got underway in Milan in late 1988, Chrysler had already launched its own, considerably cheaper four-seat LeBaron convertible. This proved a strategic setback, as the two cars closely resembled each other in appearance, even though the TC had a completely unique body and exclusive leather upholstery. With a new price of approximately $33,000, the TC was twice as expensive as the LeBaron, making it a difficult sell in Chrysler's regular showrooms. Mechanically, the model was offered with three different engines: a 2.2-liter turbocharged four from Chrysler, an exclusive 16-valve variant developed by Maserati (paired with a manual Getrag gearbox), and a 3.0-liter V6 engine from Mitsubishi. The collaboration never became the commercial success that had been hoped for, and production ended prematurely in 1990 after only 7,300 examples had been built, which was the minimum number required by the contract. - At this auction, many vehicles have been included in car collections and have been stored (mothballed) for a long time. For this reason, they are described from a collector's perspective and may need technical reviews and maintenance service - oil, battery replacement, new tires, brake review, etc. - before they can be used. .
- During the auction days information about a vehicle may be updated up to the day before the auction ends. When you bid at the end of the auction period - and also if you have made an earlier bid - we therefore ask you to read the descriptions carefully, in case something has been changed due to new information.
Important to know before placing your bids!
- Once you have called in an item and the reservation price is reached we want you to deposit the entire purchase amount into our client funds account before retrieval can take place.
- When you need to retrieve a called in object we want you to examine it carefully. If you consider that the item does not match our description you do not need to complete the purchase. In this case the deposited purchase sum and the entry fee are refunded.
- If you do not examine the item on the spot the call charge will be debited, but you do not have to complete the deal.
- If you make the entire purchase exclusively at a distance you have 14 days to cancel, but must return the item at your own expense.
- Your shipping costs and other costs are not reimbursed when the right of withdrawal is exercised. Swedish court applies.
