A Volvo 740 Named Ove

The entire Swedish 80s encapsulated in a car: a Volvo 740 wagon.
78,900 kilometers. Like new. Seven cassette tapes in the glove compartment with all the top hits of 1986.
And a role in one of the biggest Swedish film successes ever.

When the film "A Man Called Ove" was to be filmed in Trollhättan in the spring of 2015, the team searched for a Volvo that looked new in the mid-80s. The choice fell on the 740 GL wagon that is now for sale at Bilweb Auctions.
Meticulously maintained by father and son for nearly 40 years, it was perfect for the role as a time marker. Even the color was spot on: beige.

Look at Peter Forslund's pictures, inspector at Bilweb Auctions, and marvel: the clinical engine compartment, the unused cargo area, the spotless seats, and the nearly perfect original paint.

Anyone can buy it.

Even though there really should be extensive testing and interviews required for whoever is going to take over this Swedish cultural heritage.

And that their name is Ove.

Estimated price: 110,000 – 120,000 SEK.

Auction ends September 19.
