August Auction 3 2025 offers a selection of true Volvo legends. Among the most notable entries is a Volvo Amazon 121 from 1961, an extraordinarily well-preserved early model where details such as the delivery plastic on the interior were only recently removed, the original diagonal tires are still intact, and the car has virtually never been driven in the rain – a genuine time capsule with only 47 000 km on the clock.
Here you will also find a Volvo Amazon 121 B20 from 1970, finished in red with a matching interior – could it get any better? The modern lines of the 1970s are represented by a Volvo 142 B20 from 1974, Swedish-sold with only four previous owners and just 97 197 km on the odometer – a remarkably well-preserved example of the everyday car of the Swedish welfare state.
For those who want to feel the pulse of even earlier times, there is a Volvo PV 445 “Duett” B16 from 1958, in original condition and almost untouched. This genuine vehicle served at Nygrens Grocery Store in Alingsås between 1958 and 1982 – a car with both history and soul. But for those who prefer comfort over nostalgia, a Volvo S80 T6 Executive from 2004 truly catches the eye. Once an executive car for the Swedish National Bank, it has been carefully serviced and has only 125 500 km on the clock – a powerful and elegant representative of Volvo’s design for the new millennium.
These Volvo icons are now up for auction, which ends on August 21, 2025 – and it’s not hard to imagine the bidding heating up as the final day approaches. For many, these cars represent more than just metal and machinery – they are cornerstones of Swedish automotive culture.
